The long awaited results are here. Here are my thoughts and feelings about the infamous, slugging. I liked it, it was okay. I personally have a super weird texture problem. The only little hiccup I ran into was the oily feeling on my face. The slight sticky feeling, wasn’t feeling it at all. Actually I hated it. It felt like I was sticking to my pillow. I was thinking that I would need to wash off a layer of yuck off my face when I woke up but surprisingly, I didn’t. It was like my face soaked it all in. Maybe my skin really was that dry. My face in the morning felt so soft, moisturized and (gross word warning) supple. Honestly, it was so nice. But, in my own personal opinion, it made my skin peel. Kind of. Not like chemical peel type of peeling. But around my nose and on my forehead especially, my face was crazy peeling. I couldn’t tell you why. Throughout the day, though, my face grew increasingly drier. Maybe because my skin was craving the over amount of moisture??? I have not a single clue. Now, for the answer you’ve all been waiting for, did it help with my acne? Yes and no. After the first couple of nights, my acne was healing of a sorts. And, it sort of looked like it was somewhat healing my acne scars. I may be delulu though. After the honeymoon period, it wasn’t really doing much anymore. My face was dry and my acne wasn’t going away. It wasn’t more active either. In conclusion, slugging is not a good idea, IN MY OPINION, to integrate in your routine every night. This is a couple nights, maybe especially in the cold weather, and then back to your regular scheduled routine.
